Consecrated Life Feast - Redemptorist Center Pattaya Visit

April 4, 2023

Sister Piyachat, the volunteers, and many other sisters have been invited to the Redemptorist Center, Pattaya, to celebrate the feast of the Consecrated Life. It was a great privilege!

It was an impressive gathering of the Chantabhuri diocese. There were 11 different congregations and orders such as the Redemptorist Fathers, who were hosting us all, the Good Shepherd Sisters, the Camillians (fathers and nuns), the Lovers of the cross… Several of these congregations have schools and so they took with them their pupils!

To open the meeting, a priest taught the assembly about the beauty and the vows of Consecrated Life. The eucharist has been presided by our bishop Silvio Siripong Charatsri. After mass, the Redemptorist Fathers offered everyone a wonderful lunch with delicious food.

It was a beautiful day with a lot of friendly talk and sharing. This morning showed how joyful, peaceful, and brotherly the church of this diocese is.

Words of volunteers:
“I was really pleased to share another moment with the Good Shepherd Sisters and all our friends from the Camillians.” (Marie - นำผึ้ง)

“I felt very welcomed, and the whole day was so full of joy and peace.  I met so many lovely people and had a lot of amazing talks.” (Annika - นำหวาน)

“I was particularly touched by the Eucharist, where Jesus is the one who unites us all. I was impressed to be a small witness of all the clergy and the congregations united around their bishop. I’m so grateful to have been invited to such a big moment for the local church.” (Pascale – มะลิ)

“The food was so delicious, and the songs touched my heart! Thank you Sister Piyachat to have invited us to this moment. As Europeans, we really felt, here in Thailand, that we were a part of the big Christian Family!” (Myriam - นำอ้อย)
