Implementation of Environmental Awareness Education

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, the first Environmental Awareness session took place during the annual weekly meeting at the Fountain of Life Women's Center, marking the beginning of the active implementation of environmental education in the GSST Centers. The session was hosted by the staff team and volunteers. 

Environmental awareness is the key to environmentalism ideology and the protection of our planet from the damage caused by human activities. 

Before sharing the knowledge with friends and family members, the first step in creating Environmental Awareness within the target group is to provide sufficient information to understand the current climate, ecological crisis and its causes.

The Environmental Awareness Course was developed by Ms. Anna Neya, founder of the World Natural Heritage Preservers NPO, prioritizing the education of individuals, groups, and organizations on the significance of the damage we cause to our planet and ourselves by the inefficient use of technological progress. 

Teacher Chaaba (Pia Harismendy, FIDESCO France Volunteer) was hosting the afternoon session for women attending the Center. Empowering communities for environmental-friendly behavior through education is the main goal of the Environmental Awareness course 

In order to ensure the educational process's effectiveness, the FOLWC team implemented the chat Bot in LINE, for counseling, educational and mental support of the target group purposes.

After the Environmental Awareness session, women received educational materials privately via LINE chat Bot and had an opportunity to go through the presentation and video again, as well as share it with family, friends, and community members.
