"One person is of more value then the whole world" Happy Mother's Day Celebration!
Mother's Day is celebrated worldwide in over 50 countries, though not all countries celebrate it on the same day.
In Thailand, Mother's day is a very special occasion celebrated on 12 August, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s birthday, and It’s a national holiday in Thailand. A traditional Mother’s Day gift in Thailand is jasmine- a flower that resembles motherhood. Called dok mali in Thai (ดอกมะลJasmine is used in worship and is also seen as a symbol of purity and gentleness, this delicate white flower is imbued with a sweet perfumed fragrance.
On August 11, 2022, together with Fountain of Life Children's Center, we held the celebration of Mother's day at the Fountain of Life Women's Center meeting hall.
Over 80 women, 18 volunteers,the Good Shepherd Sisters, Sister Piyachat, Sister Apinya, Sister Lakana, and the staff team gathered to celebrate, enjoy the activities and have fun.
We are very thankful to the volunteers who have helped us to make the celebration special. Singing, dancing, and acting activities were held as a part of the vulnerable women & children support and empowerment program.
